Data storage market worth Rmb1.26 billion

According to a recent market report, China's data storage systems market is showing solid growth. The report by IT research company Analysys International recorded a 12.6 percent quarter-on-quarter rise in the data storage systems market over the second quarter of the year to reach Rmb1.26 billion. This also constitutes 38.5 percent year-on-year growth. The report also found that foreign firms still dominate the sector with IBM in the lead followed by Hewlett-Packard and EMC, claiming more than 65 percent of the market between them. IBM has 24.4 percent market share compared to 23.9 percent for Hewlett-Packard and 17.2 percent for EMC.
